Digital Research Partnerships, Projects, and Support

The Library supports digital research projects that create, use, analyse, enrich, publish, and present digital content. We work with researchers on project planning, digital methods, content preparation, platform selection, and sustainable delivery approaches.

What we support

• Digital projects such as collections-based, archival, exhibition, or digitally presented research outputs
• Using data in research, including advice on tools, methods, and digital workflows
• Digital publishing platforms for locally created research outputs, digital projects, exhibitions, and open educational content
• content extraction, processing, and enrichment, including OCR and HTR
• project scoping, workflow planning, and partnership development
• advice on using open tools and sustainable approaches where appropriate

• Imirce Irish emigrant letters and memoirs
• An Gaodhal is the first Irish-language newspaper ever published
• Tim Robinson's townland index for Connemara and the Aran Islands.
