By 2030, the new Dr Karen Guinee Library will have enabled the reimagining and transformation of our services, spaces and collections.


Strategic Priorities

The Five Priorities of our Strategy:

  • A Library Reimagined: We will deliver the new Dr. Karen Guinee Library in 2027
  • Education for the Future: We will ensure that our Library is a formative and central part of the student experiencee will drive research through expert staff, digital infrastructures and collections in print and online
  • Distinctive Research Impact: We will support the University’s research and researchers to deliver distinctive research impact, with particular focus on the four key research pillars of Innovation for Health; Creativity, Culture & Society; Sustainable & Resilient Environments; and Transformative Data & AIe will inspire learning by transforming the Library building to promote community and engagement
  • Empowering our People: We will provide expert, empathetic and responsive services, through motivated and empowered staff who always keep our users and their evolving needs at the heart of what we doe will make University research outputs, educational resources and heritage collections globally and openly available
  • Effective and Sustainable Organisation: We will ensure our processes, workflows, technologies, services, collections and roles are effective, user-focused, and operationally efficient.
