Note: you will receive an email from the Library when the print / e-book is available. Print books normally arrive within 21 working days. E-books are available within 3 working days.
Queries
Please email acquisitions@nuigalway.ie with any queries you have about existing orders.
Reading List Service
For books that are course materials please contact the Reading List Service. This is a specific Library service that prioritises teaching support materials.
Journal / Database Requests
Requests for recurrent subscriptions such as journals/databases must come from academic staff. Authorisation from the head of school may also be required.
Our ability to purchase subscriptions in particular has been limited in recent years due to ongoing cuts to the Library’s Information Resource budget. As a result there is currently an embargo on new journal and database subscriptions.
Please forward any journal or database requests to acquisitions@nuigalway.ie where we will hold details pending an improvement in our budgetary situation.
Other Suggestions
We would be delighted to hear any other suggestions you would like to make about library services, please email library@universityofgalway.ie.
